Road Cruise Hachioji Takakura Spot

This is an unmanned campervan pickup spot based at a parking lot in Asahigaoka, Hino City, allowing pickup and return 24 hours a day. It's about a 13-minute walk from Kita-Hachioji Station on the JR Hachiko Line, and about 10 minutes by car from the Hachioji IC (First Exit) on the Chuo Expressway. Two Toyota Camroad-based 4WD cab-con campervans called "Vaughn" are available, each accommodating 6 people for both riding and sleeping, and requiring a quasi-medium size driver's license. Rates are charged hourly (minimum 24 hours). You can leave one of your own cars at the lot when departing, and pets are allowed for an additional fee. This spot is well-suited as a starting point for trips toward Yamanashi and Nagano via the Chuo Expressway.
